Anna Xu is a dancer and composer. 

Her work explores wonder and perception. Her practice is informed by Daoist mysticism, metaphysics, theoretical physics, and nonlinear dynamics. 

She dances to research energy by integrating contemporary dance, floorwork, and qigong. 

She composes experimental music that evokes earthly feelings and otherworldly soundscapes through pentatonic melodies and polyrhythms. 

She curates Ecotones, immersive multidisciplinary arts performances in nature that reimagine the relationships of people with Earth and each other. 

She lives and works in California.
